Aladdin’s magic carpet flies in to the Ipswich Regent this Christmas!
Following the record-breaking success of last year’s production of Cinderella, Duo Pantomimes in association with Ipswich Borough Council are proud to present East Anglia’s most spectacular pantomime – Aladdin from the 12th December 2008 until 4th January 2009.
The cast will be headed by one of Britain’s most versatile and favourite actresses Debra Stephenson as Aladdin. Best loved as ‘Frankie Baldwin’ from Coronation Street and ‘Shell Dockley’ from ITV's "Bad Girls", Debra is thrilled to be coming to Ipswich this Christmas and flying on a magic carpet daily!
Causing mayhem will be TV’s legendary celebrity fox - Basil Brush®, star of the CBBC sitcom ‘The Basil Brush Show’ and ‘Basil’s Swap Shop’. Celebrating his 40th year in showbiz, Basil will be entertaining audiences with his unique comedy and trademark ‘BOOM! BOOM!’ catchphrase in his role as The Emperor.
The Harper Brothers will keep the laughs coming thick and fast as The Chinese Policemen alongside Malcolm Lord as the fabulous Widow Twankey, arguably the nation’s favourite panto dame. Malcolm has starred in many, many pantomimes over the years and is highly sought after…..with his never-ending supply of outrageous costumes and hilarious gags, your chuckle muscles will be well exercised! Oh yes they will!!
All of your favourite pantomime characters will be at the Regent this year including the evil Abanazar (Micheal Brydon), a beautiful Princess (Caddy Hopper), the mystical Genie (Gavin Storey) plus a full supporting cast of singers and dancers with the children of the Suffolk Academy of Dance and Performing Arts.

We saw the show Alladin this afternoon and it was absolutley superb. It was the best panto we have ever seen, it had spectacular scenery, amazing costumes, wonderul acting, brilliant special affects, gripping story line etc etc. We loved it. Highly highly highly recommend all ages to go and see it.

hey i have seen aladdin and i thought it was ok i didnt get the point of the little danccers as they just stood there.
