This 13 piece band directly from Havana Cuba, has played together for over half a centry, and it shows. Stylistically, they span the entire spectrum of Afro-Cuban music. Vista Social Club's most influential style is the exuberant, polyrhythmic music known as son, which gave birth to both Mambo and Salsa. These upbeat numbers are full of infectious guitar licks, multi-layered Afro-Cuban rhythms, soaring vocal melodies, and brash, Big Band-style horn parts.

Their music will transport you to the heart of Havana's clubs and dancehalls. Bass player Orlando 'Cachaito' Lopez is the only musician who has played on every track on every album in the World Circuit Buena Vista Social Club series. Guajiro Mirabal's distrinctive trumpet sound and characterful playing has earned him the moniker 'The Trumpet of Cuba'. Aguaje Ramos' trombone has been an integral part of World Circuit's Cuban recordings for the past decade. Grammy winning guitarist Manuel Galban made his name with seminal 1960s Cuban doo-wop group Los Zafiros. Amadito Valdes is considered Cuba's leading timbales player, and Barbarito Torres is widely regarded as the world's leading virtuoso laoud player.

Each of the artists has their own take on the gamut of Cuban music, and they've put their individual stamp on son montunos, danzon, cha cha cha, boleros and Cuban jazz. Having honed their skills over many years, their passion for the music has remained undimmd, and this remarkable group of musical giants perform with an exuberance that is as vital as ever.
